Summary

I am a PhD student, working at the University of Twente as part of a consortium. In this consortium we are developing a lung-on-a-chip. My project involves creating membranes for the structural support of cells using a flexible material other than PDMS. We also include microstructures in the membranes in order to let them resemble the shape of alveoli. For the membranes I use phase separation techniques, accompanied with phase separation micro moulding.
